The day after the big storm.

After finally getting to sleep with the wind shaking the house I woke up to the sun rising.
Looking out the window I noticed the amount of snow out side and inside my window had grown. So I let the figures take a look at it before it melted.

Once the snow melted, I finally got a look at the walk way to my door. A combination of the snow and the plows  and put about 3 feet of snow down. I had to shovel my way out just to get to the road.
it's kinda hard to tell the height from this angle, even when you're not looking through a camera. For some reason the snow and the light scewd  the depth perception. Weird.

Either way I really can't wait for spring now.

"It's fifty below and out there on the ground there's 90 inches of snow"

It's been incredibly stormy in Atlantic Canada. For the past month and a half we've had a storm every week, though that doesn't mean we've had snow days at school. No, college is open no matter what the weather. I've been singing the song from Robert Munsch's 50 Below Zero(hence the title)

It's kinda scary the amount of snow we've got. This was taken the day after I got back from my Christmas Break. Poor Miyuki.

I've been drinking a lot more coffee lately. The bad weather and project for school have been draining my energy. Though, because of this I've been having troubles sleeping at night, that and that my room has been roasting for the past 2 weeks.

We had a few good days inbetween storms, but very cold. It's been below zero almost everyday. Oh how I wish for Spring. I've never really liked Winter, you can't go very far with so much snow, it's quite wet , gloomy and just plain old crappy.

Black Rock Chuter: Whut's all that white stuff flying around Doro-nesan?
Drossel: That's snow Chuter-chan.
Black Rock Chuter: SNOW? That's just weeeiirrdd.

Later on this evening I noticed that the snow was building up inside my window. I figured it was a good a time as any to expose 2 of my girls to snow first hand.
Drossel: Aw man this stuff looks like fun!
Drossel: ACK! It's cold!
BRS: I think it's melting. I can feel it seeping into my boots.
The girls dried off afterwards.

IT's gotten so bad that I can't see across the street from my window anymore, and the wind is shaking the house. Quite scary actually.
I'm going to head to bed soon, hopefully I'll get some sleep tonight. I will be posting my pictures from Christmas and of the other adventures I've had in the mean time.

The New Guy

Just got  a new member to the Figure Family. I decided to give him a INTERESTING Introduction.

Chief doesn't seem happy for some reason.  Unfortunetly, I can't afford to buy Fall of Reach to play it. Or an XBOX for that matter. I will learn the story eventually.

The Figma is Figma Me, or Kagami with Misao's head. :P A quick and easy custom.

Black and White

This was suggested by my brother. Subaru and BRS have some similar aspects to them; the long flowing clothes, the ability to smack you ass 4 ways from thursday, etc. And of course the contrasts, mainly the colour choices.
It all seemed to fit.(and yeah I'm rambling here)
It took me an half hour to get everything set up for this, the background kept falling over, or wouldn't fit in the clips for the di;stage.  I'll post some more Black and White themed shoots later on this month and next month.

Nice Mini Vacation and new figs

Sometime last month I was told that November the 12th was going to be a day off. This meant I was going to get a 4 day weekend, since the 11th is Remembrance Day. So I got a train ticket and headed for home last Thursday. And man I needed it. We've been working on a lot of projects, the last one we did was a head rotation for my timing class that had to be finished for today. And I wasn't going to work on homework during my little vacation. Broke my brain trying to get it done early.
Anyway, the train was on time for once. Every other time I've gone it's been delayed for SOME weird reason. Once I was 3 hours late coming in to Halifax, the station gave everyone a 60% discount on the next ticket we purchase. But I'm getting off track here.
My Mum picked me up at the station, and I spent the evening with a HUGE headache. And I got to open my Black Rock Shooter Figma and Nendoroid.
I'm very happy about buying these two. Not to mention having my first Nendoroid.
My brother and I took a bunch of different pictures on friday.

After that, my Bro and I started experimenting with the chains on a particular Transformer toy of a character we are not impressed by(don't ask why Bro bought him because I have no clue. Probably so we could do this).

Drift, you've just been pwned by Shinji.  That just makes it so much sadder.
BRS got in on the action too.

I'll be posting a figure comic in the coming months to prepare for the new Metabee D-Arts figure. I have a really old one that I'll be using for the first part. Also I need to get more SH Figuarts Kamen Riders as well.

I will return.... Eventually.

it's been a long month.

Sorry for the complete lack of updates, life has thrown me one curve ball after another. Plus school has been eating up my time like crazy.
I haven't taken many photos either because of this. Haven't had the energy for it XP. But pretty soon I'll have some good pics for you guys.

Windy Saturday Photoshoot

Yesterday I decided instead of staying cooped up inside, that I would head out and do a photoshoot. My classes have been keeping me busy and unable to take as many photos as I want to.
Malard Ducks from far away kinda look like bats. I had no idea it WAS a duck till looking at the photos after wards.
Looking over the river to the other side.

Other side again.

I'm not sure what this is.  A mooring for ships, or maybe it was the post for information?

The river now has a blue gradiant :)

Looking down the board walk towards the bridge on Waterford Green.

Drossel and WALL-E taking a strole

The wind was blowing like crazy on Saturday.   Made it colder that it should have been.

Seagull's hanging around the warf. Probably waiting for food from passer's by.

Drossel was having troubles standing up in the wind.

Drossel: Wind too Strong!

WALL-E seems to be enjoying it.

Drossel: I think it's time to head back in.

Looking the back of the buildings and the alley that leads to the main street.

Final shot looking back.
